VASECTOMY REVERSAL

Many men want to know is a vasectomy reversible and what are the success rates with a vasectomy reversal. I always tell men before a vasectomy about the option of sperm banking which is easier than reversing a vasectomy. Years after a vasectomy, the frozen sperm can be thawed and used.
If a man had a vasectomy, and he wants to have several more children, a reversal may  make sense. Sometimes he may want just 1 additional child and getting some sperm with a tiny needle (sperm aspiration) may be an easier option.
In general, the longer the time from the vasectomy, the poorer the results with a reversal. If a vasectomy was done less than 10 years ago, the results are over 75% successful versus if it was greater than 10 years from the original vasectomy.
