WHAT YOU CAN DO TO DECREASE YOUR RISK OF PROSTATE CANCER
Over and over again the consumption of fruits and vegetables as well as regular exercise have been associated with a lower risk of cancer in general including the risk for prostate cancer.
At the recent Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), research was presented on a food supplement called Pomi-T which contains pomegranate, broccoli, green tea and turmeric. The intake of this seemed to have lower the PSA values of men in this study. The assumption is lower PSA values may lower one’s risk of prostate cancer. Pomegranate, broccoli and green tea intake have been shown to be of value in lowering one’s risk of prostate cancer in previous studies as well.
